The project manager (Troy Chavez), project engineer (Thomas Bouldin), lead foreman (Adolf Franco), and foremen (Bryan Kelly) all completed 12 hours of training on Lean fundamentals and completed a rigorous Continuous Improvement Plan where they demonstrated the application of the training. The team was required to utilize Last Planner System®, weekly work plans, morning huddles, waste walks, and execution of point of use, among other things. The team celebrated the accomplishment with a socially distanced event for the crew. They brought in pizza had a raffle with lots of NGi SWAG, and gave the entire crew a t-shirt and hard hat sticker recognizing each of them as Lean team members.
The leadership also received a special Bronze Lean sticker for their hard hats to display their status as being officially Bronze certified. Great job CSULA Student Housing Team!
